DUI/DWI Education Program

DUI/ DWI Treatment - Right Turn to Recovery

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE EDUCATION PROGRAM (DUI / DWI)

Applied Care Services, LLC is Maryland State-recognized alcohol and drug education program to assist persons with a DUI or DWI conviction in regaining their driving privileges. DUI education programs are supplied to teenagers and adults and provided in-person and face-to-face. Our DUI education programs are delivered in a group format, in which an evidence-based curriculum is utilized to educate and promote the involvement of participants to analyze and improve their attitudes, beliefs, and thoughts surrounding alcohol and other drugs while operating a car or watercraft. Some DUI Education Program subjects include understanding triggers, making better life decisions, motor vehicle regulations and associated penalties, health effects of alcohol and drug use, and lapse and relapse prevention. The program’s group format aims to raise members’ awareness, influence behavioral changes, and encourage and maintain sobriety, minimizing the risk of future DUI/DWI offenses and substance use or abuse problems.

If you would like to schedule an assessment/evaluation for our DUI /DWI Education Program,

Don’t hesitate to contact us or call our offices at (410) 216-4320.

Our DUI Education Program

Our DUI Education Program has two components, Level I and Level II. The first step is to complete an intake, in which a staff member completes a quick screening evaluation to evaluate if a possible participant is appropriate for our treatment facility. Before acceptance into the DUI Education Program, the participant will meet with a substance misuse counselor to complete an alcohol and other drugs (AOD) assessment to establish their level of care placement. The assessment appointment will last roughly 90 minutes. The evaluation results will reveal if the participant is an alcohol abuser or alcohol dependent. Suppose the participant’s assessment findings show a higher level of care. In that situation, our licensed/certified drug abuse counselor will discuss the matter with the participant and make appropriate referrals for additional mental health services or substance use treatment, such as Outpatient (OP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), or inpatient or residential treatment. Our firm offers OP and IOP services. In addition, we give easy enrollment and rolling start dates into our DUI Education Program.

In the State of Maryland, DUI and DWI are classified by the Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC):

  • Driving While Impaired (DWI), BAC of .07 to less than .08
  • Driving While Under the Influence (DUI), BAC of .08 or more
